Position Summary MACH Consultants is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished Security Engineer with 10+ years of enterprise security engineering and infrastructure protection experience to join our client team on a full-time, permanent basis in Qatar. In this specialized cybersecurity engineering role, you will spearhead deploying, configuring, and managing advanced security appliances, threat detection systems, proxy gateways, and identity management solutions. You will work closely with security architects, SOC analysts, and IT administrators to maintain robust operational defenses. Detailed Job Description As a Security Engineer at MACH Consultants in Qatar, you will take full ownership of deploying and maintaining core security infrastructure, proxy systems, authentication mechanisms, and threat defense platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass configuring Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, managing Kemp load balancers, Blue Coat proxies, and Fire Eye APT detection systems, administering Cisco Any Connect VPN and Cisco ACS/ISE platforms, and maintaining PKI and privileged access controls. You will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to investigate security alerts, perform patch management, and optimize system security. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting environment in Qatar, you will drive operational cybersecurity excellence. Key Responsibilities Deploy, configure, test, and maintain enterprise security appliances, firewalls, and threat defense systems. Manage advanced threat protection platforms including Fire Eye APT, Blue Coat Proxy, and HP Tipping Point IPS. Configure and administer Kemp load balancers, Cisco Any Connect VPN, and Cisco ACS / ISE identity services. Implement and support PKI, certificate management, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and access control mechanisms. Monitor security telemetry, analyze SIEM alerts, and participate in incident response containment activities. Perform regular security patching, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability remediation across security hardware. Collaborate proactively with network engineers, security architects, and IT operations squads. Enforce Microsoft and Linux security hardening baselines across corporate infrastructure. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and asset inventory logs. Provide tier-2 and tier-3 technical escalation support for complex security infrastructure incidents. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10+ years of professional working experience in enterprise security engineering and infrastructure hardening. Strong technical proficiency with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, and enterprise firewall platforms. Solid operational experience with Fire Eye APT, Blue Coat Proxy, Kemp load balancers, and Cisco ACS/ISE. Proven practical knowledge of DNS security, PKI, certificate management, and Privileged Access Management. Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and clear technical communication skills.
