Detailed Job Description As a Security Network Engineer at MACH Consultants in Qatar, you will take full ownership of enterprise network security architecture, firewall administration, routing optimization, and threat mitigation. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass deploying and tuning Forti Gate/Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA firewalls, managing F5 BIG-IP load balancers and HP Tipping Point IPS, securing routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, MPLS, Qo S), and ensuring high-availability enterprise gateway operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to conduct vulnerability assessments, resolve security incidents, and maintain rigorous network segmentation. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting environment in Qatar, you will drive infrastructure security resilience. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise network security architectures, firewalls, and gateway environments. Implement and manage next-generation firewalls including Forti Gate/Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA platforms. Configure and administer F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM, TMOS) and HP Tipping Point IPS security appliances. Secure enterprise routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, RIP, MPLS, and Quality of Service (Qo S) configurations. Manage high-availability enterprise gateway environments, VPN connectivity, and Cisco Any Connect solutions. Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments, security audits, and traffic flow optimizations. Collaborate proactively with systems security engineers, incident response analysts, and IT infrastructure teams. Enforce strict network segmentation, access control lists (ACLs), and zero-trust perimeter defenses. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, network diagrams, firewall rule audits, and incident runbooks. Provide expert technical escalation support for complex network security anomalies and connectivity bottlenecks. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 8+ years of professional working experience in enterprise network security engineering and infrastructure defense. Strong technical proficiency with Forti Gate/Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco enterprise networking and firewall platforms. Solid hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers, HP Tipping Point IPS, and VPN tunneling technologies. Deep understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, MPLS, Qo S) and high-availability gateway architectures.
