About the Job:

Acu Tech Consulting Group is growing rapidly and seeking highly qualified and motivated Process Safety Consultants in Qatar to help fuel our growth. Candidates will join a highly respected team of industry‑leading PSM experts on challenging projects for many of the world’s and region's largest corporations. Assignments will primarily be based out of Qatar, KSA and other GCC countries. These positions offer an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth. What You’ll Do:

As part of Acu Tech’s Qatar team, you will work directly with clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management. You will proactively apply engineering and problem‑solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives while seeking out leadership and growth opportunities. You must have high technical acumen, be self‑motivated, independent, organized and be able to work effectively under the direction of senior engineers while handling multiple work assignments and projects.

What’s Required:

Senior Consultants: 10-15+ years’ experience; ability to develop and lead cross‑functional teams, manage client relationships, and develop business.

Consultants: 5-10+ years’ experience; self‑motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively under direction of senior engineers, handle multiple work assignments and pursue professional growth.

All Roles:

BE/BTech/BS/ME/MTech/MS in a related engineering field (chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, safety)

Relevant experience in process safety management, process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment.

Ability to develop consulting business, including proposing and presenting proposals.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, client service and commitment to client satisfaction.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.

Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs.

Demonstrated experience in developing, writing, and implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, and standard operating procedures.

Demonstrated experience in developing and evaluating/auditing PSM management systems and advising management at all levels to effect positive change to operational excellence.

Experience in developing and delivering technical training, workshops, and train‑the‑trainer programs.

Ability to act as a mentor to client personnel, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and building the client’s capacity to sustain the PSM program long‑term.

Proven experience working in brownfield operating environments.

What’s Preferred:

Experience and expertise in PSM Technical Services such as: Process hazard analyses (PHA), risk assessments, or related studies (Design Review, HAZID, What‑If, HAZOP, FMEA, ENVID, SIMOPS, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Bowtie Analysis, ALARP Demonstration).

Safety Instrumented Systems services: Safety integrity level (SIL) assessment based on recognized knowledge of IEC61511 and related standards.

Experience with Quantitative Risk Assessment Studies such as:

Consequence Modelling

QRA and Occupied Building Risk Assessment

Toxic Gas Risk Assessment

Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment

EERA, ESSA

3‑D F&G Mapping

Safety Critical Equipment Identification and Performance Standards Development

Proficiency in Qatar Energy MAHM Framework and Saudi ARAMCO Standards is an advantage.

Experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
