Vessel operations engineer

Purpose of the Position As Vessel Operations Engineer , you will respond/report to the Project Operations Manager and be part of various projects within the Operations Department. Responsibilities Engineering support: review documentation, suggest improvements, and support the engineering team during planning and execution phases. Project operations: assist offshore and onshore teams with installation, diving, pre-commissioning, trenching, and hook-up operations. Planning & coordination: coordinate equipment, material logistics, and cross-functional teams to ensure readiness and compliance. Safety & compliance: ensure QA/QC & HSE standards are met; actively participate in risk assessments and safety briefings. Execution oversight: supervise key activities during vessel mobilization/demobilization, loadouts, and critical offshore operations. Continuous improvement: provide feedback and lessons learned to enhance procedures, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Commercial support: offer technical input to the commercial team for proposals and contractual matters. Ensure smooth execution during mobilization, testing, and installation phases. Leading and managing a team composed of: Junior engineers (method/operations) Draftsmen Ensuring timely preparation of all installation documents Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred); other engineering disciplines may also be considered. Experience: 5–7 years of experience in Offshore Oil and Gas / EPC. Languages: Proficient in English. Technical Skills / Knowledge Strong experience in offshore oil and gas installations including jackets, topsides, bridges, and heavy lifting operations. IT Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.). Familiarity with Microsoft Project. What We Offer Permanent contract – Project-based position.
