Sr. process engineer (ops eng)

Overview Primary Purpose of the Job: Provide daily process optimization support to monitor the performance of process and utility systems and equipment, ensuring production targets and product specifications are met. Responsibilities Offer suitable recommendations to operations in the event of deviations. Assess and validate chemical performance through systematic evaluation and identify new chemicals for improvement by coordinating with chemical suppliers. Chair the Panel Review Meeting for all Technical Mo C and evaluate all proposals for process improvements, classifying them as in‑house projects under Dukhan Operation RES or as Project Initiation Notes (PIN) for VP projects based on initial screening. Prepare the project initiation note statement of requirement (PIN‑SOR), incorporating all requirements for proposed projects and ensuring the SOR document complies with VP procedures, Qatar Energy guidelines, Shell DEP specifications, and approved standards. Perform adequacy checks of existing facilities for optimization purposes, assess bottlenecks or limitations of facility performance and reliability, and apply best practices of process optimization to enhance asset operational integrity. Develop and select technology options for feasibility and concept optimization studies to meet business targets. Participate in providing inputs and review all deliverables for external studies. Evaluate proven and new processes and technologies for operations, maintenance, or HSE improvements through projects and field trials as required. Provide process engineering support for FEED and EPIC projects. Prepare and review project deliverables such as HMB, PFDs, P amp IDs, datasheets, process descriptions, and line lists for process and utility systems. Define and review operating and integrity envelope philosophy for both process and utility systems, including operating modes such as normal steady state, transient (e.g., start‑up, shutdown, upset, pressure‑relief, etc.). Qualifications10 to 12 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a minimum of 8 years in the position of Senior Process Engineer. Experience in process optimization, concept engineering, detailed design, commissioning and start‑up of oil & gas facilities, and preparation of feasibility studies and project engineering will be an added advantage. Excellent written and communication skills in English. B. Sc./B. Tech/B. E. Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering discipline.
