The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring network reliability, security, performance, and operational continuity across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, data centers, and telecommunications systems. Detailed Job Description As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise network operations, server environments, computer rooms, and data center infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues while ensuring optimal performance and security of network services. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with routing, switching, wireless technologies, and telecommunications systems within large-scale enterprise environments. Working closely with infrastructure and operations teams, you will contribute to the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of network services while ensuring compliance with organizational and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Support, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, servers, computer rooms, and data centers Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, cabling, and connectivity-related issues Configure, support, and maintain switches, routers, wireless access points, and network security devices Monitor network performance and implement improvements to ensure maximum availability and reliability Support enterprise telecommunications systems, IP phones, and communication links Perform preventive maintenance and proactive monitoring of network infrastructure Implement and maintain network security controls and operational best practices Investigate and resolve network incidents while minimizing business impact and downtime Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and maintenance records Participate in after-hours support, shift rotations, weekends, and holiday support when required Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Computer Science, or a related discipline 8-10 years of experience in enterprise network operations and support environments Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, Wireless LAN (WLAN), and SD-WAN technologies Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and structured cabling systems Strong understanding of network security principles and operational best practices Experience supporting data center and enterprise infrastructure environments Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills Strong English communication, reporting, and technical documentation skills Ability to work independently and effectively in fast-paced operational environments Valid Qatar Driving Licence (Mandatory) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification (Mandatory) Nice-to-Have Skills Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification Extreme Networks Certifications Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools Knowledge of network automation and scripting technologies Exposure to enterprise telecommunications and unified communications platforms Experience supporting multi-site and geographically distributed networks Recruitment Pro Tip For this role, highlight specific enterprise networking projects that demonstrate hands-on experience with routing, switching, wireless networks, SD-WAN, data centers, and network security.
